There is Good News on the Horizon for Florida’s Real Estate Market!
While home sales and home prices in New York City are near the 2005 recession level, luckily here in Florida the real estate market is moving along at a steady pace. What do we have to thank for this? For starters, we have been fortunate enough to experience a huge influx of people relocating to our beautiful area. This means they are looking for homes for themselves and their families. Secondly, the economy here is booming and is projected to do so for quite some time.
What are Home Buyers Looking For?
Homes in the middle price range of $200,000 to $400,000 are in high demand. The catch is they priced correctly and reasonably updated. We are seeing a trend of buyers being demanding when it comes to renovations and updates. These buyers prefer a home that is turnkey and are not interested in renovations, repairs, or updates after purchase.
When we take a look at the market for homes in the upper price range above $400,000, it is a bit more challenging. However, beautiful, well thought out upgrades and the correct pricing will bring in the buyers.
As a Home Seller, What Can You Do?
If you are preparing to sell your home, you must listen to what buyers are gravitating towards in order to receive the highest possible price. Make sure all repairs are completed and that at the very least bare minimum updates are made throughout the home.
