Giving Back and Supporting Our Local Community has always been a top priority. We’ve been blessed to be a part of the Lake Mary Seminole County area for over 20 years and it’s our honor to give back. Over the years we have given to, or participated in a host of different community and charity events. We’re active in many area Chambers and are members of the Lake Mary Rotary Club. Several years ago we heard Dede Schaffner speak about her cherished Red Bag Program at one of our Rotary Meetings and we knew we had to participate.
What Is this Red Bag program?
The Red Bag Program was created by our own Dede Schaffner, way back in the day when she was a Volunteer for Seminole County Schools. The goal of the program is to help fight childhood hunger for Seminole County Homeless and under privelidged school children.
For the past few years we have quietly distributed Red Bags to a selected community during the last week of September. We drop off bags on doorsteps, and a few days later we would come back for pickup.
