LONGWOOD, Florida – For the past four years, Rachel and Mark Hinshaw – along with their two children – have lived happily in what has been the home of their dreams. Thanks, though, to a new career opportunity that is taking the family to Atlanta, Georgia, their beautiful house will soon be another family’s dream.

“We moved in, and immediately, I fell in love with the home,” Rachel recalled. “I just love it! I love this home. My husband, I’ve got to hand it to him, he did right in choosing this home, because it really is an amazing home. I am going to be very sad to move from here.”

The Hinshaw’s professional opportunity, as well as the chance to be closer to their extended family, was one they could not pass up. It is that set of circumstances which now gives others the possibility to see and live all that is to love in the spectacular home.

Located in one of Central Florida’s most exclusive neighborhoods – Alaqua Lakes – the house is a unique combination of resort and home. Built in 1998 by luxury home builder Dave Brewer, the house was designed to be a showpiece from the ground up. It features five (5) bedrooms, five (5) full bathrooms, and one (1) half-bathroom, spanning 5,473 square feet.  From the moment you pull into the large circular brick-paved driveway, lavish living meets you every step of the way.

The center of the driveway boasts an ornate fountain with a woman in the center, blowing her trumpet to greet visitors.

When opening the front doors, through the hallway and living room, you can see the pool and golf course. Elegant Travertine floors take you throughout the main areas, while rich wool carpet lines the furniture and built-in bookshelves precisely in the Master Suite and Library. The Master Suite boasts two extensive walk-in closets and a marble master bath with jetted tub. All bedrooms also have their own en suite bath with unique tile work in each.

For the modern entertainment lover, this home is perfection. It has a full-house audio and video system that is compatible with any Apple or Android product, allowing total control through one’s phone or tablet. Upstairs is a cinema room with French doors that open to a balcony, reminiscent of the set off a Shakespearian play. The game room on the first floor is complete with a bar, custom cabinetry, billiard table, and accessories.

Step out of the huge sliding glass doors off the back and onto the patio. The covered lanai has retractable screens, two outdoor living sections both with 49” flat screen TVs and one with a glass fireplace. LED lights shimmer in the 40” gas-heated pool and spa. The outdoor kitchen comes stocked with a Viking gas grill, sink and Viking refrigerator.

“My favorite part, though, of the house is the view,” Rachel said. “And not just one view, but all of them. The views from this house are amazing. Wherever you are in the house, they are simply amazing. I love the fact that I can look out into my back yard and see water, and woods, and a golf course. I love coming through the front door and seeing into the back yard. I love when I’m in the master bathroom, taking a shower, I can look up and see my private garden with gorgeous bougainvillea, towering. I just feel like I’m in heaven.

“Seriously, having lived here for four years, I can tell you that this house has everything. Water view? We’ve got it. Golf view? We’ve got it. Wooded view? We’ve got it. We’ve got every type of view you could want, as well as so much more.”

It is also amazingly secure. The home boasts a safe in the master bedroom closet that is attached to a security system which, in itself, features four outdoor and two indoor cameras, as well as a glass break and separate art work monitor system. Should the neighborhood ever lose power, the home has a whole-house generator.

One of the biggest selling points, though, is not what is inside the home, but, rather, just beyond its walls – the community of Alaqua Lakes. Alaqua Lakes boasts 24/7 guard-gated protection and constant patrol. The Legacy Golf Club is also private.

“The security, for both the house and the neighborhood, is the first thing that attracted me here,” Mark said. “We wanted to live in a place that was secure for our whole family, and, by far, this was the best. And it’s especially nice when you have kids, because it gives you an extra layer of protection. You don’t have to worry so much about them when they go to the soccer field, pool or tennis courts in the community.”

“There is so much to love about the neighborhood,” Rachel stated. “First, the safety of the neighborhood is great. You’re not going to get in by vehicle without your driver’s license being seen. And if you try walking in, you can’t get very far. As for the neighbors, we all know one another. It is such a close group of people, who all care about one another, and look out for one another. It is such an awesome neighborhood. It will be very sad to leave.”

What adds to the perfection of the community, itself, is that the home’s neighbors are diversified in age, making it extremely desirable for young couples, families with children, or even those who have retired.

Families with school-age children, too, have some of Seminole County’s best public schools just minutes away: Heathrow Elementary, Markham Woods Middle, and Lake Mary High.

In all, the home has virtually everything a buyer could want: A perfect layout, with beautiful amenities, in a secure location and environment, with neighbors that quickly turn into life-long friends.

“When we lived in our last home, we used to get away for a bit by going to the Waldorf Astoria by Disney,” Mark explained. “Well, after settling into this house, we went to the Waldorf a couple times … and each time, we cut the stay short. I remember saying, “why are we here, when we can be back at our house which is much nicer? Our staycation was more fun just staying home, which speaks volumes about this home.”

His wife agreed.

“It’s going to be tough to leave,” Rachel added. “This truly has been like a vacation home for us. Honestly, here, I feel like I live at a resort, but one that is in a family neighborhood. It has truly been awesome for us here. We are definitely going to miss it.”
